Help with the MiningRadar website and the Bitcoin Mining Pool Monitor menu-bar app for macOS.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Bitcoin Mining Pool Monitor macOS app?
A free menu-bar app for macOS that shows live hashrate and fees for the major Bitcoin mining pools, BTC price, hashprice ($/PH/day), network difficulty and the next retarget countdown. All data comes from this site (miningradar.com).
Where does the data come from?
Pool hashrates are aggregated from public block-discovery data. Market data (BTC price, hashprice, difficulty) is derived from mempool.space, CoinGecko, and on-chain measurements. Everything is served through the same
/api/dashboard endpoint the app reads. How often is the data refreshed?
The macOS app polls every 60 seconds. Tap the menu-bar icon then “Refresh Now” to force an immediate update.
The app shows “Server unavailable” or no data. What can I do?
First, check that you have internet access and that miningradar.com loads in a browser and shows live data. If the site is up but the app stays empty, quit the app from the menu-bar and relaunch. If the problem persists, please email us with your macOS version and the message the app is showing.
How do I enable Launch at Login?
Click the menu-bar icon and toggle “Launch at Login”. macOS may ask for permission the first time. You can also manage this in System Settings → General → Login Items.
What macOS versions are supported?
macOS 13 (Ventura) or newer. The app is Apple Silicon native.
Is the app free?
Yes. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Does the app collect personal data?
No. The app only makes anonymous HTTP requests to miningradar.com to fetch the public dashboard data. It does not send any user identifiers, analytics, or telemetry.
